Community Foundation of Greater Flint Community Foundation of Greater Flint Flint, MI Flint, MI Full-time Full-time $75,000 - $85,000 a year $75,000 - $85,000 a year Summary A part of CFGF's Development team, the Development Officer position is an exempt employee who reports to the Vice President of Development and will work with the VP, President and other staff to carry out all phases of the prospect continuum to ensure fundraising goals are met in order to maximize philanthropic success of the Community Foundation and its supporting organizations.
The Development Officer will be responsible for growing a robust pipeline of donors from annual donors to major gift donors.
Some grant and report writing may be required.
The Development Officer is expected to operate both independently and collaboratively in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and strategic priorities of the CFGF.

Position Responsibilities Bachelor's degree required Maintain portfolio of donors Raise a minimum of $1 million per year (including digital fundraising) Maintain records of meaningful written and verbal donor communications in iPhi Develop, cultivate, solicit, and retain donor relationships in alignment with asset development goals for areas of primary responsibility Plan, implement and monitor direct mail and online/digital giving and engagement campaigns that inspire donors to make gifts Collaborate with Director of Communications with a development lens In collaboration with Individual Giving team, identify top prospects and their organizational interests to maximize donor relationships and provide appropriate opportunities for further stewardship and giving Collaborate with special events team to plan and execute stewardship events and engagement activities Liaise with key stakeholders, colleagues and vendors to ensure all are fully briefed and engaged, to make certain development objectives and timelines are met Develop and deliver donor analysis reports Collaborate with donor services team to accurately process gifts from appropriate channels Subscribe to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for fundraising professionals of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Collaborate with members of Community Impact and Development Teams on grant and report writing Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Non-profit experience preferred Experience analyzing and interpreting campaign performance Experience delivering communications across both offline and online channels Experience managing key stakeholders and relationship building Experience with Microsoft Office software applications Grant and report writing experience iPhi/Core, donor management systems and other relational database experience a plus Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required Must be detail oriented, take initiative, and meet challenging deadlines Ability to work with and engage diverse individuals in a variety of work and social settings Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Business acumen, analytical skills Job Type:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
