Special Education Teacher

The Opportunity: PLA Special Education Lead teachers are passionate and devoted leaders bringing creativity and rigor to our classrooms to support an improved learning experience for our scholars. Our teachers are compassionate and committed to building a caring environment that nurtures the success of our school community. The lead teacher role was created to facilitate communication in the schools among general and special educators as well as administrators. The lead also serves as a liaison to the National Team.
The Details
Key Deliverables:
Maintains caseload list/assignment organization
Establishes and maintains caseload scheduling/organization
Responsible for IIEP/MI systems troubleshooting/organization
Maintains enrollment duties/responsibilities
Attends IEP meeting to ensure compliance
Carries a reduced caseload
Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelor s degree or higher from an accredited college or university; with appropriate endorsements
Valid teaching license with required SPED endorsements
High proficiency in grade-level standards, benchmarks, and curriculum
Experience informing parents about student progress, and providing feedback

PLA Special Education Lead Teachers receive a base salary that is competitively aligned with the market. In addition to a base salary, PLA School Teachers receive:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
