Construction Sales/ Estimator
Immediate opening for Mechanical Sales/ Estimator with commercial and/ or Industrial experience in Flint, MI
5
years of experience in commercial and industrial estimating and sales is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, and industry best practices
- Ability to strip drawings, size piping/pumps; ability to calculate loads is a plus
- Thorough understanding of drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Knowledge or Proficiency in Auto Bid/Trimble graphical take-off or similar data/document management platforms
Scope of work:
- Participate in pre-bid customer meetings
- Coordinate with teams to meet specified bid requirements
- Understand construction market trends
- Utilize bid plans and specifications to prepare project cost estimates for medium to large scale piping projects
- Ensure effective transition to Project Management team prior to project kick-off
- Support and provide expertise as needed throughout project
